Morgan electrics | | | Currently suffering a rather ignominious defeat to the MOT man as the hazard lights (and that otherwise useless optional extra, the clock) have stopped working. Hands up "sorry, can't touch it without a wiring diagram" from my local garage. My mate has OK'd switch, relay and fuses and traced the problem to a fat pink and red cable, thought to be the main positive feed but registering only 3-4v so probably a poor connection somewhere though we couldn't find it. He wanted to hot-wire from the battery to the switch, but I dragged him off to the pub sharpish at this point... Anyone got any clues what this cable is and where it comes from? Thanks, Steve | | | Post Reply | | |

Looking at the Michelin website, [vintage tyres?] I see they do the old X, XAS and some slightly later low proile jobs. I guess they will be expensive but if they don't wear out before you get to the M4 will represent a saving. | | | Post Reply | Display replies to this message

I am currently looking for a new distributor cap & rotor?
I would be grateful if you or any local member has any knowledge of this type of engine and where it may be possible to get spares?
My contact details are either by this e-mail or my mobile: 07768 142 050.
I hope we can meet up with you at a Noggin soon?
Best Regards

I have, what seems to be, a rather rare vehicle, with the Fiat 2 Ltr twin cam engine in this 1986 +4. Lovely power unit with 5 speed box, but hard to find spares as this engine, in this form, was never used on any other UK spec car?
I wonder if any other members in the area have experience of this engine and / or know where to get spares? I am curently looking for a distributor cap and rotor. Any assistance welcome.
I hope that we may meet up with you all in the near future.
Regards
